Gujranwala — A drone was intercepted by Pakistan’s air defense system Thursday morning around 3:44am over Gujranwala and subsequently crashed in a field near the Dinga area, eye witnesses confirmed.

Police officials at the scene reported no casualties and stated that the debris is being collected for analysis. Eyewitnesses described hearing a loud interception and seeing the drone fall, prompting concerns among nearby residents.

The origin and intended target of the drone remain unknown. As of this report, no official statement has been issued by the military or federal government.

Mainstream media coverage has remained limited, fueling public speculation online. The incident comes amid increased regional tensions, though it is unclear whether the drone posed a direct threat or was part of a broader surveillance or disruption effort.

Authorities are expected to release more details following a preliminary investigation.
