The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has served a legal notice to South African allrounder Corbin Bosch, accusing him of breaching contractual obligations.

The move follows his decision to withdraw from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 after securing a deal with Mumbai Indians for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

This year marks the first time the PSL and IPL will run simultaneously, with the IPL scheduled from March 22 to May 25 and the PSL from April 11 to May 18.

Bosch was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in January’s PSL draft under the diamond category. However, Mumbai Indians announced on March 8 that he would replace the injured Lizaad Williams in their squad.

PSL franchises have raised concerns that such withdrawals could set a precedent, leading players to prioritize the IPL over PSL commitments.

Informal discussions have also considered imposing a ban on players who switch leagues after signing PSL contracts.

The PCB confirmed in a statement that the notice was sent through Bosch’s agent, demanding an explanation for his withdrawal.

The board also outlined the possible repercussions of his decision and expects a response within a specific time frame, which was not disclosed.

The PSL draft, held in January 2025, attracted top international players, including David Warner, Daryl Mitchell, Jason Holder, Rassie van der Dussen, and Kane Williamson.
