Ghulam Sarwar

Hajra Sarwar, daughter of former Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan, has come under the spotlight of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in a case related to alleged financial misconduct.

According to the FIA’s Anti-Corruption Circle in Peshawar, Hajra Sarwar held two public sector positions at the same time—one as Deputy Director at the Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and another with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Records suggest she received salaries from both roles until 2017, which officials say violates the Civil Servants (Conduct) Rules, 1964. These rules bar government employees from drawing pay from multiple jobs or holding dual posts.

Authorities claim the case reflects a misuse of public office and possible political influence. The FIA added that despite the accused now residing in the United Kingdom, the investigation will continue through proper legal procedures.

Sources familiar with the case said legal notices have been prepared, and cooperation from relevant departments is being sought. The agency expects more clarity in the case as the inquiry progresses.
