Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s recent visit to Balochistan has ignited political debates, prompting a response from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Speaking at a press conference in Mithi, Bilawal advised Sharif to concentrate on addressing issues in Lahore rather than venturing into other provinces. This reaction comes amid PML-N’s announcement of an alliance with Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) in Sindh and Sharif’s visit to Quetta, where several Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) politicians are expected to join PML-N.

Bilawal Bhutto emphasized the importance of independent politics and urged PML-N to engage in it rather than relying on alliances. He criticized PML-N for avoiding local body elections and suggested that the party should prioritize addressing issues in Balochistan. Despite past conflicts, PML-N’s alignment with BAP was scrutinized by Bilawal, who questioned the consistency of their stance. The PPP chairman stressed the need for constructive politics, asserting that Pakistan cannot prosper amidst backbiting, accusations, and revenge.

In preparation for the upcoming elections, Bilawal Bhutto is set to launch his campaign in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). As political dynamics continue to evolve, the response to Sharif’s Balochistan visit underscores the complexities and alliances shaping Pakistan’s political landscape.
