Rawalpindi: Incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan has said that his sons, Sulaiman Khan and Kasim Khan, will not participate in protests or politics.

According to reports, Khan conveyed this during a phone conversation with his sons that lasted around 90 minutes, adding that they would visit Pakistan to meet him. Speaking to the media on Saturday, Khan also confirmed that his access to newspapers had been restored.

Meanwhile, addressing reporters outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Khan’s sister Aleema Khan rejected speculation that her brother had barred his sons from visiting Pakistan.

She explained that both Sulaiman and Kasim have lost their National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), causing delays in their travel plans.

“They have applied for NICOP reissuance and visas. Surprisingly, the embassy claims no such applications have been received. I have the tracking numbers of their applications,” Aleema said.
