Shammi Jalandhari is a poet and lyricist. He was born on 11 June 1971 in Punjab, India. After his migration from India to Australia, Shammi started expressing his love for his culture and literature through writing poetry.

Many of his poetries are about aspire for home. Shammi had travelled around the country in his childhood and then moved to Australia in 2006. Shammi has published 3 books of his poetry collection and wrote many songs and also works with Bollywood.

His book “Ishq Mera Sultan” is very famous and got praised by many individuals of Punjabi Film industry. His collection of poetry is borrowed by many musicians Like, Mukhtar Sahota.

Shammi wrote many songs for the movies like, “Raja Abrodiya”, “Kachee Dhaage”, and “Ishq My Religion”. He has written two songs for the movie “Ishq my Religion”, one is sung by the Nooran sister and the other one is sung by the Sufi singer Musarat Abbas. Shammi songs has been sung by many Pakistani and Indian Musicians.
