Escalating tensions between India and Pakistan have taken a sharp turn, with the Pakistan Army reportedly shooting down an Indian drone that allegedly breached Pakistani airspace in the Barnala sector, according to reliable security sources.

The unmanned aerial vehicle, suspected to be conducting surveillance, was swiftly intercepted and neutralized by Pakistani forces. Officials describe this move as a firm signal discouraging future violations of Pakistan’s territorial integrity.

In a related development, Pakistani security sources claim that two Indian fighter jets—a Rafale and possibly an SU-30—were also brought down earlier today. The incidents reportedly occurred in the Indian regions of Bathinda and Akhnoor, intensifying the already fragile military situation between the two nuclear-armed states.

These military actions are believed to be part of a broader series of cross-border strikes that erupted just hours ago, highlighting the volatile nature of the current standoff.

Information Minister Atta Tarar confirmed that Pakistan successfully downed two Indian fighter aircraft in a prompt defensive response to recent escalations. He further emphasized that Pakistan was not involved in the Pulwama attack, reiterating the nation’s ongoing commitment to fighting terrorism and maintaining regional peace.
